Topographic Surveys & Design Surveys
Topographic surveys and design surveys are typically used by architects and engineers for the design of structures and infrastructure. A topo or design survey results in a drawing of the topographic contours and other features, such as trees and rock formations, or other existing improvements, all located relative to the property lines. The drawing is then used for designing anything from a house plan to a set of civil plans for developing a grading plan, layout of water and sanitary sewer lines, storm and erosion control, road layout and other site improvements.
